What to Bring

Clothing

Please pack as little as possible, about 35 pounds per person, as space on the helicopter is limited,. soft shell luggage should be no longer than 36 inches in any direction. Comfortable pants, shorts, shoes, shirts, sweater, warm jacket, long johns, swimsuit, and personal toiletries are all that you need. A laundry service is available for emergencies. Bring your camera, ipod, video, batteries, jacks and film. Oh, yes! A change of clothes is necessary.  We have clothing for sale as well as T-shirts and hats in our gift shop.

Luggage

Because the space in the helicopters is limited, we encourage everyone to limit their baggage to one piece and a carry on.  No square suitcases please. The combined weight of both bags should not exceed 35lbs. To help you keep to this limit, please note that we do supply all adventure gear other than that which is listed in your itinerary and formal or semi-formal attire is not a requirement at Nimmo Bay.

Note The 35lb luggage allowance can be exceeded. However, guests will be charged an extra fee to have bags transported to Nimmo Bay Resort from Port Hardy airport.

Fishing Gear

If you are spin fishing or salt water fishing everything is supplied for you.  We do have fly fishing rods and reels if you wish to learn.  For those who are coming on a fly fishing trip or have their own fly fishing gear please bring that with you. Four and eight weight fly fishing gear is needed. Both floating and sink tip lines are used. Terminal tackle and fishing licenses are available at the lodge and  flyes are suplied.  Please call if you want to talk in detail about fly fishing.
