Luxury Travel Features

The New York Times

A vast number of travellers right now are seeking vacations that take them away from it all. Whether it’s adventure without the distraction of tech, or wellness in a space where no one can reach you, these are 6 remote destinations that offer it all.

The New York Times highlights Nimmo as a wild and remote destination where guests experience pure comfort and complete luxury. First, you’re dazzled by the jaw-dropping guided activities, coastal safaris, and helicopter excursions. When you dig deeper, there is a full and plentiful wellness menu and peaceful floating saunas.

Conde Nast

What makes Nimmo stand out is the intimacy and personalization of the experience. They skew away from conventional luxury and offer real moments that evoke emotional responses and stillness in nature.

“With a maximum of 25 guests at any given time, the place operates more like a house than a hotel, where the family who owns it and staff who’ve run this operation for over 45 years know everyone’s name, fishing and drink preference, and whether you take your coffee on the deck at sunrise.”

Everything Zoomer

Everything Zoomer highlights the versatility of Nimmo Bay in this feature.

Travel Weekly Podcast

The Last Resort is a monthly hospitality-focused podcast presented by Travel Weekly. In each episode, travel advisors share their first impressions of the last resort they went to.

An episode of the podcast features Nimmo Bay after Entrée Destinations owner Mark Telio, visited the remote resort. He shares the unique experiences that make Nimmo stand out amongst similar destinations, particularly in British Columbia. Ultimately, it’s a place made for anyone who has an appetite for big wilderness, from newborns to grandparents.

2025 Reviews

AFAR

Dive deep into all aspects of Nimmo Bay with Afar. From the smooth plane ride over the rainforest, to the warm and comfortable rooms, genuine team, and the rejuvenating body treatments and thrilling nature-based excursions.

BOSS HUNTING

Described as a true Neverland, a faraway utopia shrouded by the Great Bear Rainforest, Nimmo is a place that doesn’t do scripts. Whatever your desires are, the team connects with you to create the perfect itinerary. While the price may be high, guests are often surprised at how many activities are a part of the inclusive experience.

2025 Culinary & Wellness Highlights

National Geographic

As life becomes more convenient and our reliance on technology grows, we seem to be more and more disconnected from nature. But our bodies crave a connection to the wild. Science has confirmed that spending time outside can rewire our brains and restore our wellbeing.

National Geographic features Nimmo as a wellness-focused travel destination with wildlife at its core. It’s easy to sink into the rhythms of nature here. Your body naturally tunes into the calming frequency. Black and grizzly bears, harbor seals, dolphins, and whales all thrive in this coastal rainforest environment, and so will you.

VOGUE

Vogue highlights how reachable we are in our daily lives, checking our phones upwards of 144 times a day. While some vacationers are choosing to limit their screen time and social media during their holidays, these are the hotels and resorts taking it to the next level, offering a full digital detox.

They highlight Nimmo Bay as a luxury stay that naturally enables disconnection. With the resort tucked away in the Great Bear Rainforest, there is no cell service and limited Wi-Fi.

“Instead of refreshing their Instagram, guests here can take a refreshing dip in the bay to swim out to the resort’s floating sauna, enjoy soothing massages and yoga sessions, explore local wildlife like bears and whales on hikes or helicopter tours, and savor locally foraged meals prepared over an open flame.”

NImmo in the Luxury TraveL Community

One of the highlights of last year was attending the best, invitation-only, luxury travel shows in the world: Do Not Disturb and Pure. Both events bring the global private travel community together. It’s a time for connection where destinations dedicated to exclusive spaces converge. However, it’s not simply about the secluded nature of a property. It’s also about prioritizing sustainability and offering the highest level of personal service.

“Being invited to pure and do not disturb means a lot to Nimmo Bay. As a small family owned lodge, it can be hard to compete with some of the bigger players in our luxury niche. Attending the best, most exclusive travel industry shows in the world means that we get to connect with the people who need to know about Nimmo Bay.”
