Newsletter Summer Fall 2008

Friends and Guests of Nimmo Bay:

2008 has been an interesting season. There are some great fish coming into the rivers and our biggest to date is 55 lbs.

Nimmo’s Newest Adventure

Nimmo Bay Resort has created an alliance with Clayquot Wilderness Resort to present our global guests the Best Wilderness Adventure British Columbia has to offer.

For either 6 or 8 days guests can visit both resorts, sampling the incredible adventures to be found on each property. We will get you to the Beyond and Back again in a luxurious style.
We call this adventure Horsepower Safaris. At Clayquot the horses provide the horsepower and at Nimmo Bay our Helicopters provide our horsepower. These adventures are all-inclusive and truly worth thinking about as you plan your next vacation.
Please return to our main page and click on Horsepower Safaris to view this adventure.

Something to do this winter

Just because the angling season is drawing to a close doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of amazing adventures still to be had in British Columbia. Our friends at Canadian Mountain Holidays (CMH) also use a helicopter to get you to a completely different, yet equally majestic wilderness for the ultimate winter experience: Heli-Skiing.

CMH is the finest and most experienced heli-ski company in the world. Their guides will safely lead you to vast virgin expanses of fresh, white powder snow; to old growth forests with nicely spaced trees and snow unaffected by wind and sun. No crowded lift lines, no rutted slopes, no tinselly advertising – just long, free, joyous runs.

With 12 separate heli-ski areas to choose from, CMH can customize your trip exactly for your needs: private lodges, family trips, powder introduction, steep skiing camps, powder max – the options are endless.
For more information, call our friends at CMH at 1-800-661-0252 or email info@cmhinc.com. Check out the photos on the CMH website at www.cmhski.com

CMH and Nimmo Bay are founding members of the British Columbia Sustainable Tourism Collective (BSCTC), a group of six tourism companies, founded on the vision that travel within BC will foster appreciation and stewardship for the natural environment, regions and communities.

This summer was most professionally christened with the arrival of Jens Lindeman www.trumpetsolo.com who is considered by many to be the worlds foremost trumpet player. What a concert we had. Clifton and Georgia Murray also provided incredible singing talent and the evening went on for two and 1/2 hours with music and melodies drifting across our Temporal Nexus

2009 Fishing is just around the corner. Please talk about reserving your Angling Odyssey at Nimmo Bay.

From the Murray Family to all our guests and friends,

Thank you and have a very special and safe 2008. We look forward to seeing you in 2009.

To Fly is Human … To Hover, Divine
