Tim Motchman

Tim Motchman came to the coast in 1983 with a kayak and fell in love with the beauty and scenery. Using nothing more than a pocket knife, Tim would carve from driftwood leaving the pieces behind as a gift back to nature.
For years, Tim Motchman has lived a very "artistic" way. Simple and inexpensive have been the way of his for many years. Sales of his works have always been possible and it allows more freedom to practice.

Tim’s tireless effort is to bring his carvings to life. Adding movement, tension and power to his creations, it engages the viewer in a moment of magic.
Over the past 22 years Tim has been honing his skills to reach his goal of becoming a master craftsman within his field of natural art. Today, Tims work is found all over this world in museums and private collections. He has achieved his reality.
Tim’s growth is a result of his consistent practice. Training eye, hand, muscles bone and spirit. Learning to be humble, has allowed the creative spirit work through Tim.
The desire has always been to create beauty and surround his life with beauty and submerge himself into what nature so bountifully provides.
